A shocking incident at a Kroger supermarket in Southgate, Michigan, has left the community reeling after a store employee was fatally stabbed by a coworker during an altercation on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Southgate Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Kroger located near Fort Street and Pennsylvania Road shortly after 1:30 p.m. following multiple reports of a stabbing inside the store. Upon arrival, officers discovered an employee suffering from several stab wounds.

Despite immediate life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the suspect, also a Kroger employee, was apprehended at the store without further incident.
Police believe the deadly encounter stemmed from a workplace dispute that escalated into violence. The identities of both the victim and the suspect have not yet been released, pending notification of family members.
