Officials have released the identity of one of the men killed in last week’s fatal shooting near Chase Middle School.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner confirmed that 37-year-old Terrance Wallette died from multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday, September 24. His death has officially been ruled a homicide.
The shooting unfolded late Wednesday night in the 300 block of East 34th Avenue, where Spokane Police officers discovered a tragic scene—two men dead and a third suffering life-threatening injuries. The surviving victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Investigators believe those involved were acquainted, though the specific nature of their connection has not been disclosed. The second deceased victim’s identity has not yet been made public.
Police say there is no indication of ongoing danger to the wider community, but the case remains under active investigation. Detectives continue to collect evidence and interview witnesses.
