Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of 38-year-old Ciera Steele after she was struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Saturday, September 27, 2025.
The crash happened around 2:37 a.m. near West Florissant Avenue and Northport Hills Drive, according to the St. Louis County Police Department. When officers arrived, they found Steele lying in the roadway with severe injuries believed to be caused by a vehicle impact.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital but tragically died on Sunday, September 28.
Driver Fled the Scene
Investigators confirmed that the driver fled before police arrived and that no witnesses were present when the crash occurred. Detectives are now reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and residences in hopes of identifying the vehicle involved.
