St. Louis Father of Five, Stanley Scott, Fatally Shot in South City Neighborhood
A tragic shooting early Sunday morning has left a St. Louis family devastated after 32-year-old Stanley Scott, a father of five, was fatally shot in the city’s South Side.

According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, officers from the City’s District 3 responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 a.m. on October 26, 2025, in the 2800 block of Gasconade Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Scott inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses at the scene were attempting to aid him before police took over with life-saving measures.

Emergency medical personnel transported Scott to a nearby hospital, where he was sadly pronounced deceased. Investigators believe the shooting occurred outside before Scott made it into the home where he was found.

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation as police work to determine what led to the deadly encounter. No suspect information has been released at this time.
