St. Louis, MO — A tragic domestic-related shooting claimed the life of 29-year-old Trinity Staten early Tuesday morning in north St. Louis. Authorities have charged her boyfriend, 31-year-old Jeremie Northcross, in connection with her death.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called around 2:25 a.m. on October 14 after Staten was dropped off at a local hospital by a rideshare driver. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred near North Broadway and East Clarence Avenue in the city’s Sixth District. Police report that Staten had just entered the rideshare vehicle when she was shot. The driver, who was unharmed, rushed her to the hospital in a desperate attempt to save her life.
Following a thorough investigation, detectives identified Jeremie Northcross, Staten’s boyfriend, as the suspect. He has been charged with First-Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office.
