Moulton Mourns the Loss of Beloved Resident Stacey Shawn Cross
The community of Moulton is grieving the sudden passing of Stacey Shawn Cross, a devoted family man, faith leader, and pillar of the community, who died on November 3, 2024, at 53. Stacey’s legacy of love, service, and dedication will be deeply missed.
A lifelong Moulton resident, Stacey was born on April 6, 1971, to John and Sandra Lee Cross. He graduated from Lawrence County High School (1989) and Athens State University. Stacey’s roots in the community grew stronger through the family business, John’s Bar-B-Que, where he worked alongside his parents since 1995.
As a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Stacey actively participated in church activities and supported his fellow congregants. His faith was central to his life, bringing him joy and purpose.
