SULPHUR / WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma — After nearly a week of intensive searching, authorities have located Logan Nathaniel Musil, an 18-year-old student at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), deceased in a wooded area of Murray County.

The case garnered assistance from multiple agencies, including the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, and local law enforcement units.

On October 8, search teams discovered what appeared to be human remains in a forested region near Veteran’s Lake, later confirmed to be Musil.

Investigators revealed that Musil had been involved in an altercation with another individual — 18-year-old Cameron Lewis — before his death.

Authorities subsequently arrested Lewis, and he is currently being held in the Custer County Jail.

Formal charges have not yet been announced as the investigation continues.

This remains an active investigation. Officials have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
