Tampa and USF Community Mourn the Passing of Beloved Michelle Hua
The Tampa community and the University of South Florida (USF) are mourning the loss of Michelle Hua, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth, intelligence, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Michelle’s passing has left a profound void, but her legacy of kindness, laughter, and love continues to inspire all who were touched by her presence.

Michelle was remembered fondly by her USF Kappa sisters, who shared an emotional tribute: “It is with a heavy heart that we will be gathering in remembrance of our Alpha Class sister, Michelle Hua. Words cannot describe the magnitude of the pain that comes with the loss of such a bright, kind, and beautiful soul. May we honor and remember Michelle for her drive and passion to impact her community and the lives of others… Though her absence leaves an emptiness that can never be filled, may we continue to celebrate her life, carry on her legacy, and find strength in her light and memory that will live forever in our hearts.”

Michelle’s love for animals, particularly dogs and cats, reflected her nurturing and selfless nature. In her memory, family and friends have requested donations to the Best Friends Animal Society, an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals in need—one that Michelle deeply admired.
