Teen Fights for Life After Broad-Daylight Stabbing Near Clapham Junction

A 19-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times during a violent attack near Clapham Junction on Lavender Hill in Wandsworth on Tuesday afternoon (October 21).

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3:26 p.m., following reports of a serious assault in one of south London’s busiest areas. Upon arrival, Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics discovered the teenager suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He received urgent medical treatment at the scene before being rushed to hospital, where his condition remains life-threatening. Authorities say they are awaiting updates from medical staff regarding his recovery.

No arrests have been made so far, and detectives have launched an intensive manhunt to trace those responsible. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses as part of their ongoing investigation.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed:

“At 15:26hrs on Tuesday, 21 October, officers attended Lavender Hill, Wandsworth, alongside the London Ambulance Service following reports of a stabbing. A 19-year-old was treated at the scene for stab wounds. He was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening. We await an update on his condition. No arrests have been made, and police are urgently making enquiries.”

The incident has sparked fear and concern among local residents and commuters who frequent the Clapham Junction area — a major transport hub known for its heavy pedestrian traffic. Police have since increased patrols and maintained a visible presence in the neighborhood to reassure the public.
