Over the years, he devoted himself to North Vermillion athletics, where he coached football, junior high basketball, track and field, and volleyball. His lessons went far beyond sports; he taught values of perseverance, teamwork, and integrity that left a lasting mark on every player and student he encountered.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Hilary, their children, Atticus and Jorja, and his brothers Luke, Calvin, and Nate, who recently gathered under the stadium lights to honor his memory.
