A fatal shooting occurred Thursday morning near Santa Fe Plaza in Temple, Texas, resulting in the death of Tescari Paolo.

The incident began around 8 a.m. when a passerby alerted an officer to a situation involving Paolo and an unidentified suspect, who fled in a vehicle. The officer relayed the suspect’s description and vehicle details to dispatch.
A constable soon located and detained the suspect. Responding officers performed life-saving measures, but Paolo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 8:24 a.m.
The Temple Police Department assures there is no ongoing threat.
