SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Spartanburg Police Department has announced the arrest of three suspects in connection with the September 20, 2025, homicide of Zi’on Jordon, marking a significant breakthrough in the case following weeks of investigation and community cooperation.
Authorities identified the suspects as Arienna Selena Jackson, 17, and Henry Lewis Jackson Jr., 18, both of Taylors, South Carolina, and Kenton Lakeem Byrd, 27, of Duncan, South Carolina. All three have been taken into custody and transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.

According to officials, Henry Jackson Jr. faces charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, while Arienna Jackson and Kenton Byrd are each charged with Murder. A formal bond hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
The arrests stem from a deadly shooting that occurred shortly after 12:50 a.m. on September 20 at a residence on 360 Amherst Drive in Spartanburg. Responding officers discovered Zi’on Jordon, a male juvenile, unresponsive in the kitchen with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that multiple rounds were fired from outside the home, penetrating the front bay window while the victim was sitting in the living room. The gunfire struck Jordon, resulting in his death.
In a statement, Major Art Littlejohn of the Spartanburg Police Department praised the collaboration between investigators, witnesses, and the community that led to the arrests.
“This case represents the power of collaboration between the community and law enforcement to bring justice to a senseless act of violence,” Major Littlejohn said. “While we are grateful for the progress made, it remains truly tragic that a young person lost their life in this manner. We continue to keep the victim’s family in our thoughts and prayers.”
