Tragedy Strikes Elkhart: Romulo Osuna, 33, Owner of Madrid Tokio Fusion, Fatally Shot

Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Elkhart County

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting from earlier this morning in which one male victim has died and a second male victim remains in critical condition (700 block of Co Rd 3 N, Elkhart).

This morning, November 3, 2024, at about 4:40 a.m., the Elkhart City 911 Communications Center received a 911 call of a shooting with injuries in the 700 block of Co Rd 3 N.

Elkhart City Police Department officers and other first responders dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two adult males with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, one of the male victims, identified as Romulo Jesus Reyes Osuna (33 years old of Elkhart) succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Medics transported the second male victim to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of his injuries.

At last information, the second gunshot victim remained in critical condition.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was activated, per protocol, and is handling the investigation.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and this remains an active and ongoing investigation.
