A devastating domestic tragedy unfolded Tuesday, October 7, 2025, on Manor Street, leaving siblings Nelson Alatorre, 28, and Karle Alatorre, 36, dead in what authorities have described as a double homicide.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Victor Banegas-Solorzano (born February 21, 1994), Karle’s husband and Nelson’s brother-in-law, has been arrested in connection with the killings.

According to investigators, the fatal incident stemmed from a domestic dispute that escalated into violence. The couple shared an 8-year-old child, who is now under the protection of Child Protective Services (CPS). CPS officials are working closely with family members to ensure the child’s emotional and physical well-being in the wake of the tragedy.

Authorities charged Banegas-Solorzano with Capital Murder following the deaths. Members of the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) located and arrested him on Wednesday in East Harris County without incident. He has since been booked into the Harris County Jail, where he awaits his first court appearance.

In a statement, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to the grieving Alatorre family and vowed to seek full justice for the victims. “Our hearts are with the family as they face an unimaginable loss,” the department said.

As the investigation continues, detectives are working to piece together the events leading up to the deadly confrontation. The tragedy has deeply shaken the local community, where friends and neighbors remember Nelson and Karle as kind, family-oriented individuals whose lives were cut short far too soon.
