Tragic Fire Claims Life of 15-Year-Old Girl at Lancaster County Campground

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A devastating fire early Saturday morning claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl after flames consumed a camper at the Roamers Retreat Campground in Salisbury Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster, emergency crews were called to the campground, located along the 5000 block of Lincoln Highway, around 4 a.m. Upon arrival, troopers and firefighters found the camper completely engulfed in flames with a person trapped inside.

Despite the swift response from multiple fire departments, the blaze proved fatal. Once the fire was extinguished, responders discovered the body of a 15-year-old girl inside the burned structure.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. State Police say more information will be provided as the investigation continues.

The tragic incident has left the local community in shock as investigators work to determine what sparked the deadly blaze.
