NEWARK, NJ — A senseless act of violence in Newark’s South Ward on Saturday evening has left two people dead and three others injured, including a 10-year-old boy, in a devastating shooting that unfolded on the 300 block of Chancellor Avenue. Authorities report that the gunfire rang out just after 7:00 p.m., striking five people before the shooter fled the area. Among the victims, 10-year-old Jordan and a 21-year-old woman were critically wounded and rushed to University Hospital.
