Tucson, AZ — A violent confrontation late Monday night has resulted in the death of one man and left a woman hospitalized after a shooting that spanned across a residence and a nearby restaurant on Tucson’s west side.
According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on November 10, 2025, in the 2200 block of West Ironwood Hill Drive. Officers arrived at the scene to find a woman suffering from gunshot wounds at a residence. She was treated by the Tucson Fire Department (TFD) on-site and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

In a nearby restaurant, officers discovered 34-year-old Casey Sheehan Kneisel with fatal gunshot injuries. Despite efforts by emergency responders, Kneisel was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation and Arrest
Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded immediately to both locations to investigate the incident. Preliminary findings suggest a confrontation took place at the residence between the suspect and the two victims, escalating into gunfire. Both victims were shot during the initial exchange. Kneisel, severely injured, fled to the nearby restaurant seeking help, but the suspect followed him and continued shooting inside the establishment.
A swift response from law enforcement led to the capture of the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Philip Michael Chambers Jr. Chambers was arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail on charges of:
First-Degree Murder
Misconduct Involving Weapons (Prohibited Possessor)
Two Counts of Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence)
