A Tulsa Police Department officer is recovering in the hospital after being shot during a pursuit late Friday night.
According to authorities, the incident began when officers pulled over a vehicle and noticed a gun inside. As officers questioned the driver, he fled the scene, striking two patrol cars. The chase came to an end at a gas station, where the suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire.
One officer was struck in the foot, and another round hit the windshield of a patrol car. Officers then used their vehicles to block the suspect and take him into custody. The suspect was transported from the scene in critical condition.
