Megan was fatally struck by a vehicle on Saturday afternoon, just hours before the University of Alabama’s highly anticipated game against LSU. The accident occurred at approximately 4:17 p.m. at the intersection of Jack Warner Parkway and Queen City Avenue, as Megan attempted to cross the busy roadway.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Megan was hit by a west-bound vehicle driven by a 40-year-old woman, who remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Paramedics rushed Megan to DCH Regional Medical Center, but despite their best efforts, she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
