Brasso, Trinidad and Tobago – October 15, 2025: A violent early-morning shooting has left two people dead and two others injured along Caparo Valley Road in Brasso. The deadly incident unfolded around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, just a short distance from the Brasso Police Station.
According to reports, four individuals were ambushed by gunmen while gathered along the roadway. Police confirmed that 21-year-old Christopher Joseph died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, while 16-year-old Darius Shadrack succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.
Two others — 15-year-old Joel Ganesh and 23-year-old Colly Joseph — were seriously wounded and remain hospitalized in stable condition.
Investigators say the shooting took place mere seconds away from the police station, raising concerns among residents about the growing boldness of armed assailants in the community. Officers from the Homicide Bureau Region III have since launched a full-scale investigation to determine the motive behind the attack and identify those responsible.
Law enforcement sources indicated that several shell casings were recovered from the scene, and CCTV footage from nearby establishments is being reviewed to assist in the investigation.
The tragic shooting has left the small Brasso community in shock, as residents grapple with the increasing wave of gun violence that continues to claim young lives across the region.
