VALLEJO, CALIF. — The Vallejo community and the team at SOL Physical Therapy are grieving the unexpected passing of Justin Reyes, a Physical Therapist Assistant, mentor, and cherished friend. Reyes passed away on August 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and profound impact on those around him.
Since joining Spine and Sport/SOL Physical Therapy in 2019, Reyes became an integral member of the organization, working across the Livermore and Concord offices. Colleagues remember him for his remarkable clinical skill, humility, and the empathy he brought to every interaction. Patients consistently praised his patience, encouragement, and dedication to their physical and emotional recovery.

As a Clinical Instructor, Reyes guided the next generation of therapists with passion and integrity, instilling in them the values of compassion and professionalism that defined his career. Many of his students continue their professional journeys carrying forward the lessons and inspiration he provided.
Beyond his professional achievements, Reyes was known for his warmth and kindness. Colleagues described him as a beacon of support, lifting others through words of encouragement and quiet gestures of care. Whether assisting a patient’s first steps toward recovery or supporting a teammate, Reyes’ presence was a source of comfort and positivity.
SOL Physical Therapy shared a heartfelt statement, saying:
“Justin exemplified professional brilliance, and his compassion touched everyone he worked with—from patients to colleagues. He was more than just a colleague; he was a friend, a mentor, and an unwavering pillar of support for all around him. We love you and miss you, Justin.”
Outside of work, Reyes was a devoted husband, family member, and friend. His laughter, kindness, and genuine care left an indelible mark on those fortunate to know him.
To honor his memory, a Spotfund has been organized to support Reyes’ wife and family during this difficult time, reflecting the spirit of generosity and care he demonstrated throughout his life.
Though his life was tragically cut short, Justin Reyes’ legacy of healing, empathy, and love will continue to resonate through the countless lives he touched, leaving a lasting imprint on the Vallejo community and the field of physical therapy.
