
The Waco Police Department has identified 40-year-old Thomas Earl Talton as the victim of a fatal shooting early Monday morning, marking the city’s tenth homicide of 2025. Talton’s death, which occurred on Colcord Avenue, has left the community reeling, as family, friends, and neighbors mourn his loss.
At approximately 1:20 a.m. on November 17, officers responded to a report of an unresponsive individual in the 2100 block of Colcord Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Talton suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by police and emergency personnel, he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
