Milwaukee, WI — A high-speed police pursuit turned deadly Tuesday night when a stolen Jeep crashed into another vehicle, killing a West Allis mother and her two sons, Milwaukee police said.

Family members identified the victims as Pler Moo, 50; Kar Lah Kri Moo, 15; and Moo Nay Taw, 21. They were returning home from a soccer game when the crash happened shortly after 9:30 p.m.
Investigators said officers had begun chasing a Jeep reported stolen and driving recklessly. Less than a minute later, the driver sped through a red light and T-boned the family’s vehicle near an intersection on Milwaukee’s west side.
Two other relatives riding with the victims were hospitalized with serious injuries. Three people inside the Jeep also sustained less severe injuries.
At the scene Wednesday, loved ones left flowers and candles beside the wreckage, mourning the sudden loss. “I’m so sorry for your loss,” one passerby told grieving relatives, pausing to offer comfort.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson condemned the driver’s decisions:
“They made a choice to drive recklessly, and then they made a further decision to not listen to police commands and pull over. They then hit a vehicle, killing innocent people traveling elsewhere. Their lives are gone because somebody made two terrible decisions.”
Police confirmed the Jeep’s 19-year-old driver was arrested. The vehicle had been flagged for reckless driving earlier that evening.
This crash marks at least the ninth death this year in Milwaukee connected to police pursuit incidents, six of them involving bystanders. Milwaukee Police Association President Alex Ayala defended officers’ actions, emphasizing that responsibility lies with suspects who flee.
The investigation remains ongoing.
