Los Angeles authorities have identified Levern Hill, 32, as the victim of a weekend shooting in the city’s Westlake District. The incident occurred near 619 South Westlake Avenue, close to MacArthur Park, around 4:12 p.m. Saturday, after a dispute escalated into gunfire.
Hill was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts. The suspect fled the scene on a scooter, and the LAPD is actively investigating, urging witnesses to come forward.
The Westlake community, already familiar with violence, is left grieving as authorities work to bring justice and piece together the events that led to Hill’s tragic death.
