Metro Nashville police are investigating the tragic shooting death of 50-year-old Shereca Waters in South Nashville.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday at 87 Fain Street, authorities reported. According to police, Waters was involved in a verbal dispute with another woman that escalated into a physical confrontation. During the altercation, the other woman reportedly shot Waters before fleeing the scene.
Shereca Waters was immediately transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
