Los Angeles, CA — A tragic shooting in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles left a woman dead and a man injured Saturday night, authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of South St. Andrews Place, near Pico Boulevard and Western Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police say a 60-year-old man got into an argument with a 50-year-old woman, who began calling for help. A man driving by stopped to intervene, prompting the gunman to shoot both the woman and the man.
Both victims were rushed to a hospital. The woman succumbed to her injuries, while the man was reported to have stable vital signs. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
