MOUNT SAINT-HILAIRE, QC — Tragedy struck Sunday morning when a young man in his twenties fell in a steep section of Mount Saint-Hilaire, leading to his death despite rescue efforts.
Emergency services were dispatched around 11 a.m. following a 911 call reporting the incident. First responders quickly mobilized to locate and assist the victim, including support from a helicopter from la Sûreté du Québec.

Despite their swift response, the young man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities from the Richelieu-Saint-Laurent intermunicipal police department confirmed that there is no indication of foul play.
